Salary

  • The salary is freely determined by mutual agreement between the employer and the employee, subject to the legal provisions relating to the SMIG (Guaranteed Interprofessional Minimum Wage).
  • Salaries must be paid at least once a month to employees and twice a month to workers.
  • The employer must display a notice indicating the dates, places, and times of each salary payment or advance payment.
  • The Labor Inspector is authorized to attend the payment of salaries and wage advances.

  • Every employer is required to provide employees with a pay slip (payslip)
