The salary is freely determined by mutual agreement between the employer and the employee, subject to the legal provisions relating to the SMIG (Guaranteed Interprofessional Minimum Wage).
Salaries must be paid at least once a month to employees and twice a month to workers.
The employer must display a notice indicating the dates, places, and times of each salary payment or advance payment.
The Labor Inspector is authorized to attend the payment of salaries and wage advances.
Every employer is required to provide employees with a pay slip (payslip).
