The Difference Between GIMW and GAMW

The Difference Between GI
MW and GAMW

SIMW (Guaranteed Interprofessional Minimum Wage) refers to the minimum wage applicable to employees working in the commercial, industrial, and craft sectors. It is calculated on the basis of the remuneration paid for one hour of work, ensuring that workers receive at least the legally guaranteed minimum hourly wage.

SMAG (Guaranteed Agricultural Minimum Wage) applies to employees working in the agricultural sector. Unlike SMIG, it is calculated on the basis of the remuneration paid for one working day, guaranteeing agricultural workers a legally established minimum daily wage.

In summary, the main difference is that SMIG is an hourly minimum wage for the non-agricultural sectors, whereas SMAG is a daily minimum wage specifically for the agricultural sector.
